New Logo Launched!
I already spoke a little bit about this in my previous newsletter, but as of today, I'm happy to share a few details about the new branding around Trevor Writes!
This also means this post will be much shorter than the norm. Don't worry, you'll be inundated with paragraphs and paragraphs of text in two weeks!
So where to begin? I think giving some thanks is in order, and to that, I give a big "Thank you!" to my wife, who not only created the original logo for Trevor Writes (as well as helped with the general design of this website) but also created the new logo as well.
Speaking of logos, here's a comparison of the current logo, which is used on my social media accounts as well as the browser icon for this website. The difference between them is quite pronounced!
The new logo was titled "Sci-Fi": "This mark could have been left by an alien life force," my wife said to me when she described it to me several weeks ago. "Its abstract nature also transcends genres."
Related to the premiere of my new logo is not only the fact that it exists, but in the other ways it - and Trevor Writes - will be shared. How else can something digital be shared beyond social media?
Well, I now have my own business cards that are tailored specifically for my writing career! I didn't get too many - just fifty to start - but these will most likely be shared with folks that I meet at writing conventions and meetups that I plan on attending over the next couple of months.
The cool thing about these thick cards has to be the back of them: there are four different designs that were selected by my wife and me. I honestly didn't think they would've come out as well as they did when they were printed off, but check them out!
All of this was being developed while I continued with my book - just another piece of the puzzle that is my new path in the world of writing, but an important one. When the business cards came in the mail with the new logo splashed on their backs, the first thought I had was, "Wow, this is official," followed by, "Now I am definitely all-in with writing!" Not that I wasn't all-in before, but seeing the efforts that were going into this new career really brought to the surface some feelings I had regarding the decisions I've made and how they are already starting to have a tangible presence.
Just another step forward!
